The original shape, in soft silicone
The silicone catchers are the original mushroom shape: a cap that rests on the drain rim or crossbar, a perforated stem below it, and a soft flange that settles into the opening. The TubShroom fits tub drains from 1.4 to 1.75 inches and the SinkShroom fits sink drains from 1 to 1.4 inches, each in six colors, and both come together as a pair.

Does a silicone ShowerShroom slow your drain down?
Water runs around the cap and through the stem, so a clean catcher drains about as fast as an open drain. As hair builds up the flow slows; that is the sign it is time to lift it out and wipe it.
How do you clean a silicone ShowerShroom?
Pull it out by the cap, slide the wound hair off the stem into a tissue and run the catcher under the tap before it goes back. Weekly is about right for a tub in daily use.
